Gameday Pick ‘em #9: Northern Colorado (2-4)
The Pundits
“Bluejays hope to build off victories” (OWH)
“Jays learned lessons from losses” (OWH)
The Picks
The Jays begin the Las Vegas Invitational today with a game against the Bears from Northern Colorado. The Big Man Upstairs decided to send some Vegas-type weather Omaha’s way today; OK, not really, but it is in the upper 40s in mid-December. I’ll take that.
So more than 15,000 Jays fans will walk into the Qwest Center tonight sans-winter coats, and they’re likely to see another CU victory. But this UNC isn’t one to be taken lightly; they lost close games against Oregon (2 points), San Diego State (11 points), and Air Force (7 points). They boast five players that score 10 points or more per game.
With Vegas in their sights, you can bet that Sin City native P’Allen Stinnett and the other Jays will be intent on bringing their best effort to games tonight and Monday. Based on the past couple of games, and taking into consideration Dana Altman’s comments at yesterday’s basketball booster luncheon, I personally believe the Jays will continue to flex some muscle against the overmatched Bears.
Enough of this nonsense. To the picks!
(Dance Cam Guy, Panon, my wife, and I will pick ‘em each and every game on this site. We’ll keep track of the winner each game, and at the end of the year you’ll be able to find one of us three buying a round or two of expensive Scottrade Center brews at Arch Madness.)
